Mood maven -Michelle
1. "Because we weren't like other people. We are peculiar.”
The sentence made the mood intriguing. You want to know more about how they
are different
from other people. Jacob was not sure if he can believe his grandfather.
2. "But why did the monsters want to hurt you?”
The mood in this sentence is that you can tell that there is curiosity and
that Jacob
is concern about his grandfather. Makes you worried. Makes
you interested in what will happened.
3. "Dylan rolled his eyes but did as he was told.”
The author wants us to see that Dylan is annoyed and mad. His tired of
being told
what to do.
4. "I fished the emergency money dad given me.”
The way the author used the word choice by saying ‘fished’
instead of ‘taken’ is
that because he was sneaky about it or to
give the money and leave as fast as he can.
5. "I got in Dylan’s face and said “are you going to show me the
house or not.”
In the sentence when the author wrote “ I got in Dylan’s face” you can tell that he
was mad,
angry, and annoyed with Dylan.
You described the feelings well and I like how you kept it short.
