on the sidewalk crying
In this picture there is not a lot to look for but there is one big thing you can see and that is a boy in a bunny costume sitting on the sidewalk beside his house all sad and crying. As soon as you see that you can tell that this boy is unhappy and that something is wrong. He is outside which means he was waiting for his dad to pick him up but his father forgot. So in other words he is mad, angry and disappointed. I choose this picture because I can relate to it because my friend had the same problem with her dad, he was never there for her which made me pick this drawing.
In the beginning of sections two when Jacob and his father were talking about his grandfather. Jacob remembered a picture with his dad in a bunny costume crying beside his house because he was waiting for his dad to take him trick or treating. Jacob’s dad told him that his grandfather was a bad parent and that most of the time while he was growing up he wasn't at home. He didn't know how to be a father his dad said.
