"She can do what she likes," said Bronwyn. "She's the bird."
I chose this quote because I feel like it emphasizes Miss Peregrines importance and power. They all respect and realize her position as their protector. She's kind of like a mother to them because they all get sort of annoyed with her but they still love Miss Peregrine.

"How many other roles in my life had this chameleon played?"
Jacob, Emma, Bronwyn and Enoch all go outside of the loop to go to try to talk to a man who they believe was attacked by a hollowgast. While there out the loop they meet a wight who has posed as many people in Jacobs life. He was Jacobs bus driver, therapist and was there the day Grandpa Portman. Jacob told his therapist everything about the island so he knew exactly where to find them. So the wight follows Jacob to the island to come after the peculiars and Miss Peregrine.

"He stuffed this in my pocket before he left. Said if we tried to come after him, this is what would happen."
The wight, Jacob's therapist gave them a picture of a dead bird next to a gun to try and scare them. He was trying to send the message that if they came after him he would kill Miss Peregrine. So now everybody is scared to go after them but they know they need to save Miss Peregrine.

"If it means I get to melt that wights face off," she said, little arcs of flames pulsing between her hands, "then absolutely."
Here Emma and Jacob are talking about going after the wight. Their both angry and can't wait to get back Miss Peregrine from the wight. This quote starts the build up for the big ending.

"We rowed faster."
This is the last sentence of the book talking about how all the kids are getting in boats to try to find another loop. They were getting ready to row away and then in the distance they see big battleships so they began to row away faster.
